The excursion is full day and we travel up to 5 people per 4x4 truck. We pick you up at your accommodation or we leave from our place located in front of the Casino Las Grutas (Viedma 1145) at 09:00 in the morning to return to Las Grutas, after 16Hs

 

We visited the VILLA DE LOS PULPEROS, where we explained the technique for collecting the smallest octopus in the world; we introduced ourselves and told you the history of Las Grutas and this part of Patagonia.

 

Four kilometers further south we arrive at the PLAYA DE PIEDRAS COLORADAS where we do an interpretation walk and go to have fun in the dunes to jump, several times, in the famous SANDBOARD

 

We continue the route southwards along the ROUTE OF THE PULPEROS to visit EL SOTANO where the greatest difference in tides in all of Argentina is recorded. We explain how the tides are formed and why the difference in tides is so evident in Las Grutas.

 

Further south and, driving along its beaches in the 4x4 truck, we explore EL CAÑADON DE LAS OSTRAS with its 20 million year old marine fossils. The botany and geology of the Patagonian coast.

 

The off-road route along tracks by the sea allows us to dimension the freedom and the infinite distances of Patagonia. Its bush vegetation, under a sky that never disappoints, with 300 days of sunshine a year and the native fauna.

 

In front of the sea, we organized a campsite with chairs, tables and umbrellas to enjoy a picnic lunch, escorted by a good picada, salads, stir-fried vegetables in the wok, grilled sausages and Argentinean meat in a sandwich with a surprising Patagonian style and taste.  A delicious dessert, coffee and sparkling wine close the gastronomic chapter which is a real experience.

 

The excursion surprises with its nature, didactic and fun, to close an unforgettable day with the best country gastronomy. Only then, we return to LAS GRUTAS.

 

 

Shorts, swimsuit, light shirt, trekking shoes, Franciscan sandals or sneakers; hat and glasses. TOWEL TO DRY OFF.

 

For the return, in case the wind picks up, we recommend a windbreaker, hooded sweatshirt or jacket and long pants; scarf for the neck and headband for the girls' hair!
